Warehouse Operative/Customer Service – A Varied and exciting role for the right candidate. You will be assisting the warehouse manager with daily tasks including: Preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to the day’s schedule, Receiving and processing warehouse stock products, performing inventory controls and keeping quality standards high.

We here at SD Hardware are looking for a hardworking and efficient warehouse Operative to help and assist in the smooth running of all warehouse concerning activities. The successful candidate must be able to follow standard operating procedures and work in a methodical and tidy manner alongside the rest of the team.

Training to be provided:

You will receive specific on the job training from the employer in your work place. Off the job training will be provided by Achievement Training in the following areas:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT Level 1 – if required

Future Prospects:

Employment opportunities may be offered to the successful candidate on completion of the apprenticeship. Progression opportunities may also include advanced and higher apprenticeships, including:

  • Level 3 – equivalent to two A-Levels
  • level 4 and 5 - equivalent to a higher education certificate, higher education diploma or a foundation degree

Other Important Information:

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
