What you'll learn
The Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce is aimed at those with a job and studying part-time. It is also suitable for volunteers who aspire to be working in the role. It will prepare you to become an Early Years Educator and enable you to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5-7 years.
You will need to be working or volunteering in a childcare placement, with age groups birth to 5 years.
You already have achieved a level 2 qualification in a related subject or if you have extensive work place experience. A work placement is required for a minimum of 2 day per week.
What to expect
You will attend monthly half day tutorials at Achievement Training city centre location. Your tutor will support you throughout the course. The delivery of the qualification is done mainly at the workplace, the assessor will visit the workplace every 6-8 weeks. You will receive a login to an on-line portfolio account, which can be accessed from any Wifi or 3/4G point. You will be provided with a detailed course programme. At the centre you will have the opportunity to network with other learners and to share practice and access to different resources to support your learning including, laptops, desktops, tablets and textbooks.
Upon achieving this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to enter the employment as Early Years Educators. To gain our Licence as an Early Years Educator practitioner you must have relevant GCSE grades in English and Mathematics.

- Practitioner in nursery school
- Assistant in Children’s Centre
- Practitioner in Foundation unit/class a primary school
- Pre-school practitioner
