What you'll Learn

The Diploma in IT User Skills Level 3 will develop your skills and understanding of ICT. The programme includes online technology systems, website production and multimedia software. This course is perfect for a career in the IT industry or to progress onto further learning at higher levels and university. This qualification comprises three mandatory units and a wide range of optional units including:
• Improving productivity using IT
• Using the Internet / Using Email
• Desktop Publishing Software
• Spreadsheet Software
• Database Software
• Presentation Software
• Website Software
• Multi media

Ideal If

The level 3 will support you to improve your computer skills offering access to a wide variety of employment opportunities. There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, if you have already completed a qualification in a related subject at level 2 you may find it useful. A work placement is required 1 day per week to develop your knowledge and understanding and gain work based experience.

What to expect

You will learn at our training centre within a realistic working environment. You will have access to different types of devices such as laptop’s, desktops and tablets. Your understanding of theory will be tested by the completion of online tests. Your tutors have an excellent knowledge of the subject and will give you support throughout the qualification. At ATL we use an on line portfolio system. A work placement is required 1 day per week to develop your knowledge and understanding and gain work based experience.

The course can be completed as part of an intermediate Apprenticeship moving onto advanced and higher Apprenticeships.

What next

For those looking to follow a career in ICT this course provides you with the skills and knowledge for progression with a University course leading to a Degree.

On completion of this qualifications you can progress into senior positions in a wide range of ICT roles, including:

There is no cost to the Apprentice

Levy Employer cost = £4,000.00

Non Levy Employer cost = £400.00 +VAT
