What you'll Learn
The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management for Children and Young People’s Services, provides the skills and knowledge needed to manage practice and lead others in adult health and social care provision or in children and young people’s services.
For Children and Young people in a Residential setting topics including:
- Safeguarding and protection
- Developing and carrying out policy
- Managing care services, change programmes and recruitment
- Promoting and developing best practice
- Supporting development and partnership working
- Care management
- Quality systems and improvement
You are in a job role which focuses on management and care in a residential settings. Or if you are training to move in to a senior practitioner’s role, and who would like to develop your career but wish to remain an active practitioner. A work placement is required for a minimum of 12 hours per week, this must be secured before enrolment, advice and guidance will be offered upon request.
What to expect
You will attend once a month for ½ day tutorials at Achievement Training City Centre premises. Your tutor will support your throughout the qualification and will visit you at your work place to observe your practical skills. You will be provided with a detailed course programme. At centre you will work alongside other learners enabling you to share practice, you will have access to a variety of resources to support your learning including laptops, desktops, tablets and textbooks. You will be given access to an on line portfolio system.
