What you'll learn
This qualification will give you the skills, knowledge and a range of technical skills required to work effectively as a reflexologist. You can use reflexology techniques for relaxation and to promote self-healing for your clients. You will cover a range of topics, including:
– Provide reflexology for complementary therapies
– Principles and practice of complementary therapies
– Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
– Business practice for complementary therapies
– Healthy eating and well being for the complementary therapy client.
Throughout the qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.
This qualification is carried out in a real salon environment and provides you with the opportunity to learn reflexology skills whilst working on real clients. It is important for you to have the opportunity to learn in a real working environment to support you to gain future paid employment. The units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.
There are no specific entry requirements onto this qualification, however previous attainment of a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy, Nail Technology or Hairdressing may be beneficial.

What to expect
You will learn in our training centre within a realistic working environment. By the end of your qualification, you’ll be demonstrating your skills on paying clients. For each unit your assessor watches and asks questions as you perform a tasks, to assess your practical skills.
Attendance will be one day per week, Wednesday from 9.00 – 16.00.
This qualification will confirm your competence for employment as a reflexologist. You will also be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance as a reflexologist.
Career opportunities as a reflexologist exist in a variety of contexts, including:
– Working in commercial complementary therapy clinics
– Working a commercial spa or salon
– Working in the NHS in hospitals and care homes
– Working independently/self-employed/mobile/home-based settings
