Vacancy Description:

With supervision and direction, the successful applicant will provide first line IT support and customer service. Your duties will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Undertake with guidance 1st line incident resolution and/or Service Request Fulfilment, ensuring that corporate service level agreements are met and that security and compliance guidelines are achieved
  • Assist in the provision of 1st line support for all technical areas, ensuring a secure and stable platform for the delivery of services is monitored at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service support and delivery
  • Undertake user account administration
  • Assist in the task of backup and recovery routines
  • To be aware of ICT security and promote the importance of securing information to customers
  • Undertake other duties as directed and reasonable within the apprenticeship role

Operating from Plymouth City Centre the company operates from Retail based premises delivering sales and service support for all manner of Equipment and accessories. Employer Location

Our Service Department offer repairs to Laptops & PC's including Apple and Mobile Devices. Additionally, to Network Servers, large format Touch screens & Associated equipment. Virus issues, fault finding, replacement components & Upgrades are just part of our services. Broken Laptop screens, keyboards & power sockets can also be replaced at relatively low cost. With quality parts/diagnostic equipment and manufacturer trained engineers our service team provides a highly efficient and cost effective service solution to Consumers, Education & Business Users.

Bus Route

 Training to be provided:

You will receive specific on the job training from the employer in your work place. Off the job training will be provided by Achievement Training in the following areas:

Future Prospects in IT Support

On completion of the Apprenticeship, the employer may offer you a permanent contract as you will have learnt the necessary skills and become a valued member of staff. Progression opportunities may also include advanced and higher apprenticeships, including:

  • level 4 and 5 - equivalent to a higher education certificate, higher education diploma or a foundation degree
