Vacancy Description: You will be responsible for the general administration of our busy web design office. You will be able to work with initiative, be able to meet deadlines as well as be personable, well organised, calm and have excellent communication skills. You will be willing to learn new systems and be capable of flexible working in a fast -paced business environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing and developing industry for a motivated person with a keen interest in web design, content writing and graphics.

Employer Description: PL1 Web Design are based in Plymouth, Devon and specialise in offering Website Design, Search Engine Optimisation and Social media Marketing to start-up businesses and small businesses in Devon. We have over 10 years experience within the industry. We have recently expanded into a much larger office in the Bretonside area. 

Training to be provided: You will receive specific on the job training from the employer in your work place. Off the job training will be provided by Achievement Training in the following areas:

  • QCF Diploma in Business and Administration Level 2
  • Certificate in Business Administration skills Level 2
  • Functional Skills in English and Mathematics and ICT Level 1
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)

Skills Required:

  • Good telephone manner
  • Good organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload
  • Good understanding of customer service requirements
  • Good understanding of confidentiality and data protection standards
  • Able to work both as a team and independently
  • Previous Administration experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Social Media platforms especially WordPress
  • Motivated to learn new skills
  • Must have knowledge of web design and specifically using WordPress

Qualifications Required: GCSE Grade C in English and Maths.

Other Important Information: The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
