Exciting opportunity to perform a wide range of administrative and office activities for the agency.

Vacancy Description:

Working as part of a friendly team you will have a varied role to help the business run smoothly. Some of your day to day responsibilities may include:

  • Answer and deal with incoming phone calls
  • Receive Landlords, Tenants and Contractors calling into the office
  • General clerical duties including photocopying, fax and mailing
  • Maintain a hard copy filing system
  • Maintain and develop the computerised property management database
  • Handle requests for information and data
  • Resolve administrative problems and inquiries
  • Prepare written responses to routine enquiries
  • Maintenance of office equipment and stationary
  • Writing routine letters and emails
  • Researching the internet as required
  • Any other tasks that may reasonably be required commensurate with the post
  • Basic accounting tasks such as issuing invoices and paying contractors
  • Dealing with maintenance enquiries
  • Updating the company website and our properties on other property websites such as Rightmove and Zoopla
  • Compiling property advertisements for local property papers
  • Ensurinig all properties are compliant with relevant legislation
  • Registering deposits and ensuring compliance with legislation

Training to be provided:

You will receive specific on the job training from the employer in your work place. Off the job training will be provided by Achievement Training in the following areas:

  • QCF Diploma in Business and Administration Level 2
  • Certificate in Business Administration skills Level 2
  • Functional Skills in English and Mathematics and ICT Level 1 – if required
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)

  • Information gathering and information monitoring
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to use initiative
  • Ability to work on your own unsupervised

  • Smart appearance
  • Flexibility in order to support all team members

Qualifications Required:

  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software
  • Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of office management

 Future Prospects:

On completion of the Apprenticeship, the employer may offer you a permanent contract as you will have learnt the necessary skills and become a valued member of staff.

Progression opportunities may also include advanced and higher apprenticeships, including:

  • Level 3 – equivalent to two A-levels
  • level 4 and 5 - equivalent to a higher education certificate, higher education diploma or a foundation degree

The National Minimum wage for apprentices is £3.70 per hour. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
