Working Week: 37.5 hours (9.00am – 17.00pm with 1/2 hour for lunch)


Vacancy Description: Working with a friendly and professional team your duties will vary to help the salon run smoothly, they will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Booking appointments
  • Shampooing & conditioning
  • Drying and styling hair
  • Mixing and applying hair colouring
  • Supporting senior members of staff
  • Help with the running and organisation of the salon
  • Cleaning the Salon

The salon interiors create a stylish environment that blend heritage and modern day craftsmanship, from classic to catwalk, lady or gent, our warm, welcoming team will preen and pamper, taking care of your every need and preparing you for an unforgettable relaxing experience.

Training to be provided You will receive specific on the job training from the employer in your work place. Off the job training will be provided by Achievement Training in the following areas:

  • Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Hairdressing
  • Functional Skills in English and Mathematics (If needed)

The training will be provided through a series of on and off the job observations and input tutorials. You will learn in our training centre within a realistic working environment.

Qualifications Required Good standard of English and Maths

Other Important Information: The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
